[Setup Time: 15 Min.] [Current Condition: hand method works, gunpowder method is down]

Info

Important note: the gunpowder caps are no longer working, most likely due to age. Until a replacement reliable method is found, this can be done by pushing them apart by hand as an internal force (takes some practice).

Two riders on the air track are blown apart by igniting a toy pistol cap. The riders may be of equal or unequal masses; when they return, they stick together and come to rest again.
